St. Mary Church Festival Offers a Taste of Romanian Food and Culture

Fri 8/16 @ 4:30-11PM

Sat 8/17 @ 1-11PM

Sun 8/18 @ noon-10pm

Church festivals are coming hot and heavy now, a chance for Greater Clevelanders to sample a variety of world cultures without leaving northeast Ohio.

The St. Mary Romanian Festival takes place at this church on Warren Road just across the border from Lakewood and right of I-90. Like most such festivals, one of the real attractions is the homemade ethnic food, with specialties such as stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, schnitzel, polenta and a wide selection of pastries, along with imported beers and wines. Dine indoors or out.

And of course there’ll be folk dancing and music performances, along with tours of the cathedral and games for the kids. They’ll also be holding “Grandma’s Attic Tag Sale.”

Parking and admission are both free, so you can go crazy on the food.
