Hale Farm’s Made in Ohio Festival Offers the Chance to Buy Local

Fri 8/30 @ noon-5PM

Sat 8/31-Sun 9/1 @ 10AM-5PM

Hale Farm & Village offers a glimpse at how Ohioans lived 150 years ago, including the handmade crafts that were a routine part of people’s lives.

The annual Made in Ohio Art & Craft Festival spotlights what Ohioans are making now, and gives people a chance to purchase their handmade items. They include artists who practice traditional crafts such as quilting, glassmaking, carving, soap making, pottery, jewelry and more.

The grounds and historic buildings will be open, and there’ll be craft demonstrations throughout the festival too, as well as vendors with local food, wines and beers. Admission is $7, $5 for children or $10 for the entire weekend.

In addition, there are 60-minute workshops in paper marbling, floor cloth making, and wool felting for $30, which includes admission to the Made in Ohio Festival. Register at the website.
