ContempOpera Blends Pop and Opera @ Tremont’s Arts in August

Sat 8/17 @ 7PM

In 2006, singer Andrea Agnelli founded Opera per Tutti (now Cleveland Opera Theater) with the goal of bringing opera to people who probably would never think of buying a ticket to hear one.

In 2016, she moved on and formed ContempOpera to expand on that mission with the presentation of contemporary works that resonated with a wider audience. Performances may include pieces that cross over into musical theater and pop music.

That’s the kind of performance they’ll be doing at Tremont ‘s Arts in August series in Lincoln Park, where Agnelli will be singing, along with Benjamin Bunsold, Rebecca Freshwater, Randall Fusco and Brian Keith Johnson.

All Arts in August performances are free. Bring a blanket or chair and a snack and relax under the stars.
