The legalization of medical marijuana and its confusing rollout here in Ohio have left a lot of people in the dark, wondering what they can get, and where and how they can get it.
Lakewood Medical Clinic is holding the Ohio Cannabis Health Summit at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland South at 5300 Rockside in Independence to answer some of those questions, with workshops for patients, caregivers and others.
“The goal for this inaugural event is to connect people with vendors, physicians, support groups, cannabis advocates, dispensaries and cultivators, while learning about products and services related to cannabis and holistic health,” say the organizers, noting that only half the registered medical marijuana patients in the state are actually buying it.
Panels will cover topics such as how to become a cannabis patient, the laws surrounding medical marijuana, jobs in the industry and how to invest in it. Panelists include representatives from my industry and state legislators Kenny Yuko, a longtime medical marijuana advocate, and Juanita Brent. There will also be vendors and information booths from related products, businesses and organizations.
Tickets are $15 at the door.
