Talespinner Children’s Theatre Brings Its Touring Show Home for Three Days

Fri 7/19-Sun 7/21 @ 3PM

In addition to its regular season at Reinberger Auditorium in Detroit-Shoreway, Talespinner Children’s Theatre has touring shows that can be booked for schools, libraries festivals and events and organizations.

Its current touring production When The Lion Sneezed (Tales from Ancient Assyria and Beyond) follows the template of all Talespinner shows, which adapt myths, legends, folklore and fairy tales from around the world. In When the Lion Sneezed, the lion creates split personalities when he sneezes, a good and a bad one which are in competition with each other. With music and colorful characters, it incorporates stories of cats from different countries. And part of the fun is getting to meet and talk with the cast following the performance.

The show comes home to Reinberger for three “stay & play” shows this weekend, so Talespinner regulars can catch it. Tickets are $10 for 12 and under, $18 for 13 and over, and $13 for seniors and college students.
