St. Sava Shares Its Culture at Its Annual Serb Fest

Sat 7/13 @ noon-11PM

Sun 7/14 @ noon-10PM

Cleveland’s numerous church festivals are a great way to absorb the many ethnic cultures that make up our local melting pot. St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma will transport you this weekend to one of the many countries that make up the Balkan area.

This 40th annual festival will of course include performances by costumed Serbian folk dancers and musicians, along with the highlight of all such festivals: traditional foods for from Old Country including ćevaps, sarma, gibanica … OK, we have no idea what they are but we’re certain they will be authentic! There’ll be Serbian beer and wine to wash it down as well.

There’ll be tours of the cathedral, a bounce house and games to keep the kids amused which their parents tour the cathedral and a chance to join the “kolo” circle, a group dance performed in many Balkan cultures. The festival is free and takes place rain or shine.
