Bats, like snakes, are one of those creatures people have strong feelings about: either fascination or aversion.
If your response to them is the former, join Summit Metro Parks staff at Sand Run Metro Park’s Big Bend Area just as darkness is starting to fall — bats’ favorite time to be active. You’ll actually get to join their nature experts as they try to catch live bats with nets in order to observe and collect information about them. It’s up to you if you want to get this close to these flying mammals!
