Mahler & Beethoven Are on the Program at Summers @ Severance

The Cleveland Orchestra is back at Severance Hall for some summer concerts giving city fans a chance to enjoy music without the long drive to Blossom.

Franz Welser-Möst conducts the orchestra as it performs Songs of a Wayfarer by Gustav Mahler, a four-song cycle songs of love and love thwarted written in the 1880s and 90s. It will feature young German baritone Ludwig Mittelhammer, who at 31 is just beginning his career.

Orchestra strings will also play Beethoven’s String Quartet No 15.

Tickets are $27-$87.
