AsiaTown’s Night Market Is Back with More Food, More Vendors & More Crowds

After growing explosively since its 2014 creation, the Night Markets on Rockwell Avenue in AsiaTown took at break in 2018, due to construction and rehabbing going on in the immediate area.

But the monthly markets were just too popular to stay gone. They returned in June and so did the crowds: despite the huge and growing number of food vendors of all types, those who want to eat without waiting in a long line are advised to get there early. The area’s Asian restaurants (of all types) offer much of the cuisine, but you can find just about anything these days.

In addition to food, the vendors lining Rockwell offer handcrafted goods, body products and oils, art, clothing and various tchotchkes. The expanded footprint now includes two parking lots, one ringed by additional vendors surrounding tables for relaxing and eating, the other featuring more food (there’s a LOT of food at this market!) and a stage with entertainment ranging from Polynesian dancers to Zeppelin-esque rock bands. Bring the kids, bring the dog — it’s family- and pet-friendly. And it’s free.
