Take a Walking Tour to Learn the History of Public Square

Mon 6/24 @ 6-7PM

Start your week off with a summer evening walking tour in downtown Cleveland. Meet guide Patty Hart at the statue of Tom Johnson on the north side of Public Square. She’ll lead the group around the square’s perimeter as she relates the story of “Cleveland’s original civic space,” and some of the events that have occurred there in its 222-year history, ranging from Presidents lying in state to animals grazing. Among other things, it was the first urban space to be lit by street lights.

The tour is about an hour long, and it’s free. Register here.
