Skatch Andersson Orchestra Evokes Big Band Era at the BOP STOP

Sun 6/16 @ 7PM

Is your dad a fan of old-time big-band jazz? Forget the tie and the aftershave. For Father’s Day, take him to the BOP STOP, treat him to a few drinks and a couple of the club’s excellent, baked-to-order chocolate chip cookies, and let him bask in the music of Cleveland’s 17-piece Skatch Andersson Orchestra.

For three decades, this ensemble, led by Eric Dregne and Scott McKee, has been playing around town, laying down the sounds of Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Duke Ellington and Woody Herman, as well as pieces by local composers and arrangers paying homage to the classic big-band style. Special guests for this performance are pianist Tamir Hendelman and bassist Sherry Luchette.
Admission is $15.
