Singer/Songwriter Griffin House Plays G.A.R. Hall

Sat 6/15 @ 8PM

Singer/songwriter Griffin House is based in Nashville, but he moved south from Springfield, Ohio, in the Dayton metro area, where he was born and raised. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he began writing songs, and soon after, released his first album Upland independently in 2003.

He’s released a steady stream of albums since then, mostly on his own, featuring his skillful acoustic folk pop, with a new one, called Rising Star coming out at the end of June. He’s had the opportunity to open for artists such as John Mellencamp, Oberlin alum Josh Ritter and the Cranberries. And he’s played countless intimate venues that give listeners the chance to really immerse themselves in the subtleties of his music, venues such as Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall where he’ll be playing this week and undoubtedly sharing some of the new material.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show.
