Dr. Lisa Damour is an author and a New York Times columnist with a special interest in helping young girls grow up to feel capable and grounded. Her latest book, Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Girls, follows her best-seller Untangled: Guiding Teenager Girls Through the Seven Transitions Into Adulthood, which has been published in 17 languages, demonstrating how universal the issues she addresses are.
Damour will be the speaker at the July 2 program in the Chautauqua-in-Chagrin series, taking place at Chagrin Falls’ Federated Church. She’ll talk about “Empowering Girls to Be Successful.”
General admission tickets are $15; preferred seating is $20. Students are $5.
