Photo Exhibit “Bridged” Explores Cuyahoga Bridges Past & Present

Wed 6/19 @ 6-8PM

Sat 6/22 @ 2-6PM

The Cleveland Print Room opens a show at its gallery Friday by artist-in-residence from Ethiopia Michael Tsegaye. But it’s also sponsoring another show, taking pace at the Riverview Welcome Center at 1701 W. 25th Street.

The show, called Bridged, features the work of native Clevelander Sophie Schwartz. Her project explores the Cuyahoga River through the lens of its bridges, combining her own look at those bridges with archival images of the river’s bridges.

There’s an exhibition preview Wed 6/19 before the show formally opens on Sat 6/22. It’s free and open to the public.

After the Wed 6/19 preview, you’ll also be able to see a preview of the light installations by UK collective Squidsoup on the Detroit-Superior Bridge, along with three indigo-dyed banners hanging from the bridge. That event is also free but reservations are required and you need to bring ID and sign a waiver. Go here.
