Fri 6/14 @ 5PM
Sat 6/15 @ 7:30PM
There’s a new outdoor venue in northeast Ohio. The 4,800-capacity Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre is located in Riverfront Park with a view of the Youngstown urban skyline. Its first season is a mix of events and genres: new country and hip hop, old rock and R&B (Steely Dan, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago), and special events such as the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra playing the music of Queen and a Drive-In Movie Night.
Opening night is Sat 6/15 with who else but that popular regional double bill of Cleveland’s Michael Stanley & the Resonators and Pittsburgh’s Donnie Iris & the Cruisers. Tickets range from $25-$75.
For a preview look around, come down Fri 6/14 for a free evening, featuring a ribbon cutting, local bands, local food vendors and giveaways.
