Ethiopian photographer Michael Tsegaye is an internationally published photojournalist who has worked for major organizations such as Bloomberg and Reuters. But he also does his personal fine-art work much of which focuses on social documentary.

His exhibition at the Cleveland Print Room, called Crooked River, opens this week as part of the Xtinguish celebration of the last Cuyahoga River 50 years ago. Tsegaye has been in Cleveland as CPR’s Creative Fusion international artist-in-residence creating the project. He’s transforming the environment of the CPR gallery with giant prints, both aerial shots and those taken from the ground, looking at the river from different viewpoints.

Come see at the opening reception Fri 6.21 @ 5-9pm. It’s free and open to all. The show will be on view through August 3.
