Dance/USA Holds Its National Conference in Cleveland

Neos Dance Theatre

Wed 6/12-Sat 6/15

Dance/USA annual national conference arrives in Cleveland this week, bringing dance professionals from all over the world to town for performances, workshops, panels and symposia addressing a full range of issues facing the presentation of dance.

Each year, the conference takes place in a different city, giving that region’s dance community the opportunity to showcase what it’s got going on. The 2019 showcase takes place Thu 6/13 @ 7pm at Playhouse Square’s State Theatre; it will feature short performances by ABREPASO Flamenco/Alice Blumenfeld, Cleveland State University Dance Program, ELEVATED, GreeneWorks Project, GroundWorks DanceTheater, Inlet Dance Theatre, Neos Dance Theatre, Shri Kalaa Mandir, and Verb Ballets, with special guest artist BalletMet from Columbus. It’s free but tickets are required. Go here.

Local dancers will also be doing pop-up performances. You don’t have to be a member to attend, although members receive a discounted registration fee. You can also join or register at the door. For more information, go here.
