Watercolor artist Gary Bukovnik is a Clevelander who got his creative grounding at the Cleveland Institute of Art. In the 40 years since then, he’s become known internationally for his floral watercolors, with a bilingual coffee table book titled Forever Spring: Gary Bukovnik published this spring in China (where he’s had several museum shows), featuring 120 color illustrations.
Bonfoey Gallery will be bringing the book back home when it hosts a book release and signing party for the artist. The book release party is Fri 6/7 @ 5-7:30pm when the gallery also unveils an exhibition of his recent watercolors, including some featured in the book. On Sat 6/8 @ 10:30am, he’ll give a talk about his work and career, and sign books until noon. The watercolors remain on view through Fri 7/6.
