The annual Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival celebrates this brand of duct tape manufactured in Avon and made in countless colors and designs beloved by crafters as well as home repair enthusiasts.
The three-day event takes place for its 16th year in Avon’s Memorial Park. It offers plenty of chances to show off costumes, floats and sculptures made from the tape, in addition to the usual fair/festival attractions of food and drink, craft vendors, rides and live bands. The highlight is the Duck Tape parade, taking place on Saturday morning @ 10am, marching from Avon High School to Memorial Park. But there are plenty of other highs: free rides and a Cruisin’ Car Show Thursday evening, a Silent Dance Party Friday evening, and, closing the event down, fireworks on Saturday at dusk.
