Western Reserve History Society Fetes Its Euclid Beach Carousel

Sun 5/19 @ 10AM-5PM

The Western Reserve Historical Society celebrates one of its special attractions when it hosts the Euclid Beach Carousel Bash this Saturday. Once the “crown jewel of Euclid Beach Park,” the 109-year-old “Grand Carousel” is now the crown jewel of WRHS, showcased in its own circular glass addition visible from the street.

The carousel made its debut on May 19, 1909 when the park opened for the season. More spectacular than the average “merry-go-round,” it boasted four rows of horses, including three moving rows inside and almost life-size stationary horses around the outer row.

There will be special activities and treats, as well as unlimited rides on the carousel with regular admission — $10 for adults, $5 for kids 3-12.
