SPACES Shows Video Presentation & Hosts Artist Talkback

Wed 5/15 @ 6:30PM

Originally from Johnston, Pa, Cleveland-based photography and video artist Jack Koestler, who teaches at the Cleveland Institute of Art, currently has an installation at SPACES called Casual Water. A major part of it, including the central video essay, revolves around the former Oakbrook Country Club on the Cleveland Heights/Euclid Heights border, its abandonment and its eventual sale to a developer for a shopping center. It looks at how neighbors viewed the situation and how the changing nature of the space impacted them.

Koestler will be at SPACES for a screening of the video, starting at 6:30pm, followed by a talk-back session at 7:30. It’s free and open to all.
