Sax Player Greg Ward Brings His New Band Rogue Parade to BOP STOP

Fri 5/24 @ 8PM

With the release of his fourth album Stomping Off From Greenwood at the beginning of this year, sax player/composer Greg Ward introduced his new ensemble Rogue Parade.

The Illinois native cut his teeth in Chicago’s vibrant jazz scene before moving on to New York. He still considers Chicago a second musical home, and it’s there that he brought together the members of Rogue Parade in 2016, shortly after releasing his last album: guitarists Matt Gold and Dave Miller, bassist Matt Ulery and drummer Quin Kirchner. Stomping Off From Greenwood blends acoustic and electronic sounds on nine compositions, including “Metropolis,” a tribute to the excitement, diversity and opportunity found in urban settings.

The quintet will bring this new music to the BOP STOP. Tickets are $15.
