Bike to Work & Bike Old Brooklyn During Bike Month

Fri 5/17 @ 7-9AM

Sat 5/18 9:30AM

All over the country, today is National Bike to Work Day, and with the growing number of cyclists in Cleveland, of course there’s a celebration. Bike Cleveland will have hubs all around town: places to meet co-workers to ride to work together or to park to shorten your route. There will be rewards at the hubs such as bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt parfaits, energy bars, water and free coffee. At the hub at the Bike Rack on E. 4th Street downtown, RTA will have a bus parked to show riders how to use the front-loaded bike racks on the buses.

And if you can never get enough time on your bike, hop on Saturday morning and head over to Old Brooklyn for the 9th annual Old Brooklyn Pedal for Prizes. Riders rack up points and win prizes by visiting neighborhood businesses. Registration starts at 9:30am at the Pearl Road United Methodist Church where you get your card to be punched at local businesses; businesses open to start punching cards at 10. Riders get a raffle ticket for each punch; the raffle starts back at the church at 2. It’s free and open to all.
