Young Singer/Songwriter Hayley Reardon Is Back at Oberlin’s Riverdog Retreat

Fri 4/19 @ 7:30PM

When Hayley Reardon first played at Oberlin’s Riverdog Retreat in 2015, she was just 18 years old and already a five-year veteran of Boston’s vibrant folk scene, with two EPs and two albums to her credit and open slots for Peter Yarrow, Catie Curtis and Tom Rush on her resume.

Imagine how her music has grown since then! She went on to study at Nashville’s Belmont University, while continuing to tour between semesters. She’s performed with acts such as NE Ohio’s own Jessica Lea Mayfield Birds of Chicago and Lori McKenna. In 2017, she did a tour of alternative venues in the UK that she called “The Handwritten Sessions” that resulted in a live video series and tour documentary. That led to her latest release, an EP called Where I Know You, which she’s just embarked on a tour to promote.

It brings her back to Riverdog Retreat this weekend where the special guest opening act will be Sam Bailey and Riley Calcagno, two Oberlin College musicians.

Admission is $17 at the door. There will be free snacks, water & hot tea, but you are welcome to bring your cooler and picnic basket. And Lorenzo’s pizza oven will be onsite with $9 pies.
