Kent’s legendary Numbers Band will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, one of the area’s longest running acts — and one of its most original. It was founded and led by vocalist/guitarist Robert Kidney, whose intense, rapt presence has given the band its unique stamp since its earliest days playing its driving rock/jazz/blues. Many members have come and gone over the years, but Kidney’s multi-instrumentalist brother Jack and sax player Terry Hynde have been on most of the journey. Read more about them in our recent article here.
They’ll be up in this part of NE Ohio to perform at Nighttown’s covered and heated Stephens Green Patio, where you can order from a full bar and menu, and spend an evening soaking in their sounds. Tickets are $10.
