May is Bike Month, so you can expect to see a lot of bike-related activities all over the area, as bicycling has grown here in popularity.
In Cleveland Heights, the Heights Bicycle Coalition starts the month with Bike the Heights, a weekend of special events. There are special yoga classes at Green Tara Yoga in the Cedar Fairmount District Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 11am, and Confluence Cycle and Yoga on Coventry at 9 and 9:45am on Saturday. Confluence also offering an outdoor fitness ride Sunday morning at 8:30am.
On Saturday at 3pm a family-friendly bike ride will begin and end at P.E.A.C.E Park on Coventry. Participants are invited to wear Star Wars costume in honor of May the Fourth Be With You Day. On Sunday from noon-3pm Lopez on Lee will have a special brunch fiesta.
There’ll also be bike repair mechanics in the parking lot next to Nighttown on Saturday, as well as self-service bike stations at Heights Library and the northeast corner of Lee & Superior across from Cain Park all weekend. And on Sun 5/5 @ 1pm at the police department at City Hall, they’ll be holding their annual bike auction starting at 1pm.
