NYC-Based NE Ohio Jazz Guitarist Lucas Kadish Flies Home for a Concert at the BOP STOP

Sat 3/9 @ 7:30PM

Many northeast Ohioans will remember Lucas Kadish from when he was just a kid, hanging around local jazz venues, often jamming with some of the area’s top musicians he’d gotten to know through participation in Tri-C’s renowned jazz program from 2012-2014.

He later decamped for New York City where he graduated from the New School for Jazz, where he also studied composition, and launched his post-college musical career. There he’s formed his own band Tundra to play his own material; he’s played many significant NYC jazz venues as well as international jazz festivals in Bern, Winnipeg, Tel Aviv, Montreux and Athens, Greece.

He’ll be back in town to perform as part of the Flying Home series, which brings back former Tri-C students who, like Kadish, have used their grounding at Tri-C to establish careers as jazz musicians around the country. Welcome him home at the BOP STOP; tickets are $20.
