“Vagina Monologues” Performance in Slavic Village Benefits Planned Parenthood

Sat 2/9 @ 8-11PM

Planned Parenthood’s funding and reproductive rights as a whole are under fire: between Governor Mike DeWine’s commitment to pass the Heartbeat Bill and the threat of stripping Title X, women must band together and not only display a message of unity, but continue to support Planned Parenthood while we can. This possible loss of funding would primarily impact low-income women and families, making health care even less accessible than it already is.

Through a series of fundraising efforts, Planned Parenthood intends to rally and inspire people. A collaboration of Hopscotch Improv, the She Collective, and friends will bring a V-Day celebratory showing of The Vagina Monologues.

Written by Eve Ensler in 1996, The Vagina Monologues is an empowering and emotional compilation and mesh of hundreds of interviews with women seeking strength and liberation. Born from this feminist hit, V-Day became an activist movement fighting rape, assault, genital mutilation, and sex slavery.

Planned Parenthood is relying on these fundraising efforts to ensure longevity. Hosted by the Magalen in Slavic Village, your $10 ticket will support those efforts, as well as the V-Day movement.
