Sun 3/3 @ 4-8PM
“Lost in Time and Space” is the theme for the March Noise Lunch at Now That’s Class, although truthfully, that could be the theme of any of these monthly events, which feature musicians mostly from the Cleveland community of experimental artists who generate open-ended sounds on a variety of instruments, especially synthesizers, along with things others might not consider an “instrument.”
The sounds generally range from soothing and ambient to jarring and abrasive, and if you don’t like what you’re hearing, just hang on — the sets are all short, just 20 minutes. Max Hyde-Perry kicks things off at 4pm, followed by Incite Joke (4:20), Bovine Centurion (4:40) and Arms & Armour (5PM). Veterans Cleveland noisemakers Bbob Drake and Kristen Ban Drake take over at 5:20, with Guns and Rosenbergs (who should be heard for the name alone) at 5:40, All Data Transmitted at 6, Sam Harmon at 6:20, Sean Holt (whose setup is pictured above) at 6:40 and 8 Cylinder closing things out at 7.
It’s free so you have nothing to lose by checking it out.
