Cleveland Museum of Natural History Hosts Women in Science Day

Sat 2/9 @ 10AM-4PM

Every year, the Clevland Museum of Natural History hosts its Women in Science Day, and while it’s for all ages, it’s particularly valuable for girls whose interest in science might be getting discouraged elsewhere.

Visitors to the museum will be able to meet and interact with women who have science careers and learn from them what opportunities are out there and how they overcame challenges they faced. There’ll be exhibitor tables where people can stop and chat and pick up information about various special fields.

At 2pm, there’ll be a panel of professionals from each of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields, and afterwards, they’ll be available for a meet-and-greet to ask them any questions you might have. There’s also a special planetarium show at 1pm with a tour of the cosmos with a female astronomer.

All events are included with regular museum admission (adults $17, youth 3-18 and college students with ID $14) except the planetarium event, which is an additional $3. Tickets can be picked up at the front desk that day.
