Have you ever been to a concert at Severance Hall and, while waiting for the music to start, looked around at the spectacular hall and wondered about its story?
You can learn its history when docents lead one of their periodic tours of the hall. Find out when and how it was built and financed, how it was designed to sonically enhance the orchestra’s sound, what improvements have been made over the years, and learn intriguing this tidbits such as where that leafy design that fills the interior came from. (I know but I won’t spill the beans and spoil the story!)
The tours are free. If you want to pre-register to guarantee yourself a slot, go here.
