Fri 1/18 @ 8PM

Sandwiched between its performances of the Richard Strauss opera Ariadne auf Naxos, the Cleveland Orchestra presents a look at a different side of Strauss, complemented by a work by Mozart.

Each of the rarely heard pieces features small ensembles that give different sections of the orchestra a chance to stand out. Mozart’s Divertimento in B-flat major features the string section and two horns, while Strauss’s Sonatina No. 2 stars the winds. Franz Welser-Möst conducts.

Tickets are $31-$161.
