For the second year, A Very Electric Christmas by Lightwire Theater of New Orleans comes to the Akron Civic Theatre, and this time they’ve added a matinee show. Which is…shocking!
The touring Lightwire troupe utilizes a specially illuminated, flexible type of cord (with a cute name, EEL) to create incredible, multicolored pageants in the dark. Think those laser light shows of yesteryear, only different. Lightwire’s A Very Electric Christmas brings this wizardry to a story of a migrating wild birds meeting Santa Claus, The Nutcracker and other North Pole icons preparing for the big night.
Tickets start at $20, but with VIP backstage passes with backstage and how-to demos by the performers available.
