Slavic Village’s Neighborhood Pets, Which Supports Low-Income Pet Owners, Holds Its Holiday Party at the Magalen

Sat 12/22 @ 11AM-2PM

Two years ago, Neighborhood Pets opened in the Slavic Village neighborhood, a project of Friends of the Cleveland Kennel, the same folks who sponsor the City Dogs program with its red van carrying kennel dogs in red coats that say “Adopt Me!” Its goal was to provided affordable (or even free) services and supplies to low-income pet owners in order to keep pets and owners together. And they’re planning to open a second location in North Collinwood in 2019.

Meanwhile, you can join them at their third annual holiday party at the Magalen in Slavic Village. There will be food (provided by Slavic Village businesses Saucisson, Red Chimney and Seven Roses), drinks, a visit from Santa and for members, free pet food and treats and a raffle for a free pet bed. The evening is family-friendly but not pet-friendly, so leave your dog at home and promise to bring him something back.

It’s free. But they always welcome donations!
