Pianist Cliff Habian Plays “Peanuts” Christmas Music and His Own at Nighttown

Thu 12/27 @ 8PM

Nighttown’s holiday schedule is always heavy with local artists, billed as “home for the holidays,” since many of the artists who perform got their start here before moving on to other greener pastures. But they also showcase others who never left and built their careers here.

One of the latter is pianist Cliff Habian, an alumni of the Cleveland Institute of Music as a composition major, who taught at the Music Settlement for many years and was head of the keyboard department there. He’s proficient in both classical music and jazz.

When he plays at Nighttown with Kip Reed on bass and Bill Ransom on drums, he’ll be performing music by pianist Vince Guaraldi, known for his music for the Peanuts TV specials, including the famous Christmas special. He’ll also perform holiday music from his Christmas CD First Snowfall.

Tickets are $15.
