If you haven’t been to Watch It Wednesday at 78th Street Studios yet, and you’d love to get more into the local art scene, you need to go.
For the monthly event, many of the artists who work in the building lug their projects out to the main event space on the first floor, and some invited outside artists join them as well, to paint, draw, sculpt, weave and engage in conversations with visitors about how and why they do what they do. It’s an opportunity to browse work without the jostling crowds of 78th Street’s Third Fridays and to get to know the artists a little better as well.
Food and drink are available for purchase, so bring friends and make an evening of it. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door
