NE Ohio’s Connor Bogart O’Brien Comes Home to Host a Holiday Show at the Akron Civic

Sat 12/8 @ 7:30PM

Northeast Ohio actor/musician Connor Bogart O’Brien started out as a classical violinist and studied opera at the Eastman School of Music. Since then he has travelled around the world as a pop performer opening to acts such as Mariah Carey, Hall & Oates and Richard Marx, and appeared in productions of shows such as Forever Plaid, Altar Boyz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Miss Saigon.

He’s landing back home for a Christmas show at the Akron Civic Theatre where he’ll be host and featured vocalist in the style of the old-fashioned holiday television specials by artists such as Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby. It will include a Christmas choir, made up of area high school singers, and a nine-piece big brass band, performing beloved holiday traditional and pop classics such as “White Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” as well as music from Frozen and what’s described as “a hilarious three-minute Nutcracker (with official time keeper picked from the audience).”

Tickets range from $20-$35.
