dotdottdot “Sensory” Event Brings Multi-Disciplinary Artists Together at the Magalen

Sat 12/8 @ 6PM

The Magalen in Slavic Village was conceived as a multi-disciplinary arts space — part gallery, part performance space where a variety of things could happen, sometimes all at once.

It’s an appropriate location for dotdotdot, a twice-yearly arts event founded by Irene Honora of the Movement Project and the performance ensemble The Pith and Root of Sleep and visual artist Alexandra Celeste, specifically to encourage such inter-arts collaborations.

As they put it, “Through collaboration of dance, visual art and music, dotdotdot strives to let everyone play in the same sandbox and create something beautiful and new.”

They’ll be presenting the latest iteration of dotdotdot, called “Sensory” at the space this weekend, featuring 16 artists/performers. It’s also Alexandra’s birthday so come celebrate with her.

Doors are at 6pm; performances start at 8. It’s technically a free event, but they would really really REALLY appreciate a $5 donation to help defray their expenses. There will be food and drink.
