What are you doing on a chilly December Sunday afternoon? If you have no plans other than sitting around the house wondering if there’s anything fun going on, head over to warm and cozy Nighttown where you can grab some brunch and listen to a set of upbeat music by local band Big Ship at their annual Holiday Family Brunch.
Led by “Dreadlock Dave” McDougald, who has a long past in jam bands such as the Waterband, Big Ship plays music with a jam-band vibe, cut and shaped into digestible pieces with G-rated content — no 30-minute jams and no drug references!
When Big Ship performs, McDougald gathers some friends to play with him: they include Michael Rotman, Ryan Mitiska, Gary Naherny and Carlos Jones.
