See the Work of Late Cleveland Artist Anthony Eterovich at Lorain’s Stocker Arts Center

Thu 11/29 @ 4-7PM

A couple of years ago, Tregoning & Company Gallery in 78th Street Studios mounted a 100th anniversary show of the work of Cleveland Institute of Art alum and 54-year faculty member Anthony Eterovich, who died in 2011.

The show, A Thrilling Act: The Art of Anthony Eterovich, was supplemented by additional displays of his work at the CIA Study Collection, ARTneo and the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve. They showed the range of his work, mostly realistic or semi-realistic scene of everyday life, including places around Cleveland, but also abstract paintings, both displaying his mastery or color and texture.

If you missed all that, you’re in luck: you have another chance. A Thrilling Act goes on view at Lorain County Community College’s Beth K. Stocker Gallery this week. It opens with a free public reception Thu 11/29 @ 4-7pm. The show remains on view through Fri 12/14.
