Playmakers Youth Theatre Tackles Edgar Allan Poe Play at Ensemble Theatre

Thu 11/8 @ 7PM

Sun 11/11 @ 2PM and 7PM

Playmakers Youth Theatre is a Jewish youth theater based at the Mandel JCC. It’s partnering with Clevcland Heights’ ensemble Theatre to present a production of Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe, written by Cleveland Heights playwright Eric Coble, whose many plays have been performed all over the country.

This work incorporates four of Poe’s best-known macabre works — the poem “The Raven,” and the short stories “The Fall of the House of Usher,” “The Pit and the Pendulum” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” — as he tries to convince himself he’s not mad.

Tickets are $10. The darker subject matter may not be suitable for younger children.
