Plan a Visit to the Maltz Museum Before or After Thanksgiving

Wed 11/21 @ 11AM-9PM

Fri 11/23 @ 11AM-5PM

Thanksgiving Eve is generally known as a big bar night, when people want to go out and party because they’re off work for the next four days.

But if that’s not your thing — maybe you have kids — but are still looking for something to do, why not go over to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, which will be open until 9pm that evening (as well as Friday from 11am-5pm if you need something to do with that extra day off).

It’s a great time to explore the new special exhibit Israel: Then & Now to learn about how Israel came to be and how its culture and economy developed through film, images and interactive media. There are child-friendly elements to such as story panels from the book Ari & Abigail’s Passport to Israel, and crafts and other hands-on activities throughout the exhibit. And if you’re shopping for Chanukah (or Christmas) gifts, the museum store is fully stocked for the holidays with toys, games, books, and accessories such as jewelry, scarves and bags, in addition to menorahs and other Judaica.

Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and students 12 and over, $5 for ages 5-11.
