The Musical Theater Project Offers Two Concerts “Just for Laughs”

Wed 11/14 @ 7PM

Sun 11/18 @ 3PM

The Musical Theater Project specializes in multi-media evenings that illuminate some aspect of classic 20th-century film and stage music.

Their next program, titled “Just for Laughs,” is a new one that focuses on tunes intended to be humorous. Songs included range from Eddie Cantor’s 1928 “Makin’ Whoopee” to “Man Up” from The Book of Mormon. “Our laughter brings us closer to ourselves,” says TMTP founder Bill Rudman.

Rudman and his music director and regular sidekick Nancy Maier will host an evening with live performances by vocalists Douglas F. Bailey II, Ursula Cataan and Sheri Gross, augmented by video clips and narration.

They’ll perform at the Solon Center for the Arts Wed 11/14 and Playhouse Square’s Hanna Theatre Sun 11/18. Tickets for the Solon performance are $40-$43.

Tickets for the Hanna Theatre performance show are $30-$55.
