There’s no place better to spend a cold winter day than inside an independent bookstore where each shelf holds an unexpected find. You just can’t have the same thrill of discovery on Amazon.
One of Cleveland best independent bookstores is Loganberry Books on Larchmere, a series of interconnected rooms where you’ll find a fix of new and used books on virtually any subject you can think of, along with a large selection of cards and stationery and wonderful gift items, many of them reading/writing related.
To kick off the holiday season, Loganberry is hosting a holiday open house, with wine, cheese and local finger-style acoustic guitar player Brian Henke offering music from 7-8:30pm. And their regular selection of gift items will be enlarged in their pop-up shop, Otis’ Old Curiosity Shop (Otis is the store cat; he won’t be waiting on you because he’ll probably be sleeping). It features work by local artists and fair-trade crafts, toys and games, and vintage items.
The store will also have extended hours through 12/23: Monday and Tuesday @ 10am-6pm, Wednesday-Friday @ 10am-8:30pm, Saturday @ 10am-6pm and Sunday @ noon-5pm.
