Praxis Fiber Workshop in the Waterloo District has grown by leaps and bounds since it opened in 2015. It’s continued its mission to offer classes and studio space and equipment for artists, and it’s presented a series of stellar shows in its gallery. It’s hosted dance and music events. And this year, it planted its first-ever dye garden, up the street from its facility.
Come show your support at Praxis’ third annual Holiday Benefit, “A Fiber Affair,” to fund yet another new project: the digital weaving lab, opening in early 2019. It features catering by chef April Thompson, beer from Great Lakes Brewing Co., along with wine, music by the Silver Spring Duo and an auction and raffle with plenty of handmade gifts as well as tickets to major events.
