Catch Kent’s Legendary Numbers Band at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall

Sat 11/17 @ 8PM

We aren’t trying to be morbid or anything, but with the recent death of Cleveland guitarist Glenn Schwartz, you probably shouldn’t delay in catching some of the area’s musical veterans such as the Numbers Band, which debuted in the summer of 1970.

Actually, we expect that band founder/guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Robert Kidney, despite some previous health challenges, will be around to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary in 2020. And while Bob may not have the frenetic energy of his young, he still tackles the band’s off-kilter jazz-inflected rock/blues with a fierce passion.

There have of course been many changes in personnel over the years, although Bob’s multi-instrumentalist brother Jack and sax player Terry Hynde have been on board for most of the group’s history.

They’ll be performing at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall. Tickets are $12, both in advance and at the door, if it’s not sold out.
