Canadian Brass Spreads Some Holiday Cheer at the Akron Civic Theatre

Tue 12/4 @ 7:30PM

For nearly 50 years, Canadian Brass has been entertaining audiences with their lively, accessible performances. Their more than 100 recordings feature classical music, jazz and pop tunes, and of course includes numerous holiday albums. Their signature attire of black suits with sneakers gives away their simultaneously serious and light-hearted approach to their music.

Obviously, in that length of time, many members have changed in this constantly on-the-road ensemble, but one of the founding members remains: tuba player Chuck Daellenbach. He’s joined these days by trumpeters Caleb Hudson and Christopher Coletti, trombone player Achilles Liarmakopoulos and French horn player Jeff Hudson.

The group will be performing at the Akron Civic Theatre as part of Tuesday Musical’s Fuze series. Tickets are $40-$45.
