Local Poet/Musician Jeffrey Bowen Launches New Website With an Evening at Visible Voice Books

Fri 10/5 @ 7:30-9:30PM

Jeffrey Bowen is a man of many talents. He’s a percussionist who has performed for local jazz, reggae, folk and roots rock bands including Cats on Holiday with whom he currently plays. He’s written pieces for CoolCleveland.

He’s also a dedicated longtime poet whose work has been published in many literary journals. He’s performed it everywhere from the Beck Center to the Cleveland Museum of Art to Cain Park to the late, great Barking Spider. In 2015 he won the Hessler Street Fair competition with a tribute to Cleveland’s late street poet Daniel Thompson.

Now he’s launching his latest project, a new website called Jeffreypoet.com, with an evening of original poetry at Visible Voice Books in Tremont. There he’s be joined by “Mickey Mercury,” actually his own son Michael, a graphic designer living in Belize City, who helped create the new website.

The event is free.
