Local Acoustic Musicians Play Concert for Peace, Hope and Sanity

Sun 10/28 @ 7PM

Trying to bring some positivity to the civic sphere, a group of area folk/acoustic musicians are hosting Promised Road: A Concert for Peace, Hope and Sanity, at Bethany Presbyterian Church on the near west side.

Participants include long-time music scene veterans, brothers Noah and David Budin, David Budin’s bandmate in ’60s-style folk group Long Road, Jay Singer, Rob Ticherich and special guests to be revealed late. They’ll be doing an evening of songs the hope with uplift and inspire listeners — presumably all the way to the polls. God Before Guns, created following the 2013 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School to work on preventing gun violence, is sponsoring the event, which is free.
