Kent’s Standing Rock Cultural Arts Fetes Did de los Muertos

Sat 10/27 @ 7-10PM

Kent’s Standing Rock Cultural Arts regularly promotes global cultures, particularly in its Around the World music series. So it’s fitting that it annually celebrates Dia de los Muertos — this year is the 16th such celebration as well as the 26th anniversary of SRCA’s North Water Street Gallery.

The gallery will be packed with art of all types — prints paintings, photographs, collages, masks, puppets — by a dozen artists, curated by Vince Packard, whose work has graced many of the gallery’s shows. There’ll be a parade to the gazebo to kick things off (drummers are welcome!), food and drinks, and then at 8pm the Mariachi Santa Cecilia performs as part of the Around the World series (a suggested $10 donation would be appreciated).

The exhibit remains on view through Sat 12/1.
